Put a Spork in it: I’m dunt!

Hotness:  The idolator blog is kicking up dust in the face of collegiate a cappella by pulling quotes from the RARB
site. They want you to spot the fake quote out of several of the review
snippets. I’m all a-flutter because two of the quotes they pull are
mine, and I know jevan wrote the third…so the deduction for me was
easy.

Go check it out

Then leave a comment or email and tell me which one is fake and which two are mine.

McDickey and the wild card.

Even though National Coming Out day was last Wednesday (October 11 for those of you not in the know), this past Wednesday seemed to be the day for celebrity outings.  T. R. Knight recently sent an exclusive to PEOPLE Magazine (aohell dot com), the he is, indeed, a  lover among men.  I wonder how this is going to affect his story line on Grey’s Anatomy.  To keep in line with the McDonaldslization of the world:  I give you Dr. McDickey!  McDickey is easier to swallow than McCockey!  HA.

And the latest in the non-shocker-news is one R. J. Helton.  You may remember him from American Idol season one.  He was the wild card entry for the top 10.  Lasting longer than Jim V (who is out) and EJ (who is not) and AJ (who probably aint), R.J. has come out of the closet.  He did so on a Sirius radio station.  Fun times that.  He’s been big on the x-tian music circuit for the past few years.  This should prove interesting now that he’s found his true wings.  Kirk Franklin — ya listening?

I’m not back to the blog just yet.  (nor the website, nor the multitude of other internet presences that I currently own, but I digress).  I just had to put this up here.  Sadness personified.

I wasn’t going to report on this, but then the more that I thought
about it…I couldn’t let it slip.  Especially in times of Foleygate,
Studd’s husband denied his federal pension, and the outing of yoet
another gay-rep ( Larry Craig, in case you didn’t know), when certain
elements of the population are getting the attention they deserve.
Sometimes sadness overcomes any form of jubilation.

There is a dead (Black, Gay) man in NYC from internet attackers (and a hit-and-run driver who’s actually more at fault).

From Keith Boykin:

Michael Sandy:

He was 28 years old the night he drove his car to Sheepshead Bay. An
interior designer at Ikea, Michael Sandy liked dancing, good
conversation, Thai and Indian cuisine, photography, Kung Fu and Mui
Thai boxing. He was intrigued by the assassination of John F. Kennedy.
And he liked a wide variety of movies from The Color Purple to Kill
Bill. And of course he liked Oliver Stone’s film JFK.

His musical tastes were also eclectic, ranging from Bjork to
Everything But The Girl to Brandy, Patti Labelle, Amel Larrieux, James
Brown and Prince. On television, he liked watching In Living Color,
American Idol, The Real World, Mad TV, and The Snake Master. That’s all
part of the picture of Michael Sandy that has emerged since he passed
away on Friday.

On his Friendster page,
which was still up on Sunday afternoon, he lists his height and weight
as 5′ 7, 145 pounds. He had brown eyes and black hair and described his
ancestry as Irish & West Indian. He described himself as athletic,
sweet and fun.

And now

225 Dollars!

Tyron GarnerApparently it is too late to bury Tyron Garner.
I just received word from Mitchell Katine, the local attorney in the
Lawrence v. Texas case, who informed me that Tyron Garner’s brother
Darnell signed the papers just this morning releasing Tyron’s body to
the county for cremation (at no cost). The fund which had been set up for his burial had raised only $225.00 in 6 weeks

WTF?

I’m shocked on some levels because no one in his family could bury
him.  And then the way the fund was handled to help cover the cost was
abysmal.
